Bluebonnet Patch Quilting is a computerized longarm quilting business located in Central Texas among the most beautiful area for the Texas Bluebonnets! In the springtime, the bluebonnets and wildflowers make a carpet of colors along our roadways, in our parks, and in our own bluebonnet patch. Springtime, when the bluebonnets bloom, is one of our favorite times with fresh new colors to decorate our landscape and it just inspires new quilting ideas. Marilyn has been sewing since childhood, making a 4-H sewing project each year, progress to Make-it-Yourself with Wool contests, then sewing for her own children. Her quilting career began over 10 years ago which led to a progression of fabric "stash" and patterns galore. As the quilt tops increased, her interest turned to completing some of those "unfinished" quilts. She began to explore the idea of owning a longarm quilting machine of her own. The computerized Statler Stitcher in combination with a quality Gammill quilting machine and 14 foot table (large enough to quilt the largest king quilt) was the best match for her business. Of cource, her machine named "BLUE" is the last metallic blue machine that was made by Gammill and it matches the Bluebonnets in the patch out back. |
